Got some bench time today and was able to finish up the ship’s wheel from the Syren mini-kit.
It’s a little bigger than the cast metal wheel in the kit. It’s an improvement over the current kit’s wheel (on the left), but I’m not sure mine came out any better-looking than the wheel from the 1990s’ version of the kit (middle).

He’s contemplating the addition of some brass nails, but I’ve tried to convince him they’d be too small to be noticed.
