Fife-Scottish Fishing Vessel, Amati_Victory Models 1:32

Not part of my Fifie project but, while waiting on rigging materials I dug out a project I had started months ago.
These are for the USN Picket Boat and hold the cannon on its mount. Gave me a chance to use my new resistance solder unit again. I love this thing. Absolute minimum cleanup required and ready to go into the blackening bath.

While waiting for my ropes & blocks order from Dry Dock I finished up the USN Picket Boat. (Can't believe it has been sitting for over two years unfinished).
The only modification from the Model Shipways kit was to the stern. I found an old USN drawing depicting the squared off stern rather than the rounded version per the kit.

Now that it's finished, time to get back to the Fifie build. I only hope I can do Dry Docks parts justice as they are very nice components.

Probably not much building today as there are three football games on today.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

This is an awesome result! Congrats and Bravo!! Please post more photos! I love this small boat, very accurately built.

Thanks guys,
Just glad this was one I didn't trash a couple of years ago when I lost my Admiral and 'cleaned house' of lots of kits still in boxes and closed down the shipyard.

It was a good idea to keep her and brought to the finish line. A very nice looking model.

Jim,
I added some additional images to my previous post #163 per your request. I still have a few additional items to install for the plumbing then I'll call it done.

I guess I better quit hogging this log with pictures of another build. Oh wait, it's my log so I guess I can.

I thought you had done the model, sorry if this is not the case. Additional images are great, I was hoping you would be willing to submit images for completed models (link below). Then Donnie will put those in our gallery
