SYNOPSIS:

This guide is an help to the construction of the equipment of a ship model of the late XVIIIth and early XIXth centuries, but is applicable to any other era of wooden shipbuilding.

This work by Francis Jonet describes with hundreds of photos and sketches, the construction of his model, gold medal in 2010. A large number of images in the document are shots taken in macroscopic mode in order to show in detail how to set up the rigging of a 74-gun vessel.

Some time ago I got a copy of the original book directly from Francis and showed it also here in a topic.
This book was in the past published in a very small number directly by Francis and I was very happy to get one of these rare volumes.
Now off course in addition with the english translation published by ancre, it will be a great help for everybody building a model of this period.
Not only helping for the 74-gunner, but also including a lot of explanations of building methods and hints.....
