I purchased this kit off marketplace for $20.00. I think it was made in the 90’s. The walnut parts and plywood are just die stamped. Sawing the parts out obviously requires another skill set.

I’m not for sure if I was supposed to sand the hull. I did sand down the bow so the keel fit better at the bow.

Planking went quick. It probably will show. I did the port side first. The starboard side I planked down so the garboard plank could reach it. I’m not sure if this is correct but it was easy.

I just started this kit so I could work on it when I get slowed down on the other build I’ve got going.

Nice start! Certainly a bare-bones kit, wow. If you're inclined to modify it a bit, I wonder how hard it would be to add a little bit of curve to the sheerline by sanding, chiseling, or slightly building up the bow and stern.

Galleys weren’t on my building list at first. But after seeing a few models and taking a closer look at their history, I began to appreciate them in a completely different way. Thanks for sharing !!

Thanks Jacques, I thought about it, but I don’t have the skills that you have. I can only make it where no one else can copy it:-)
