GORCH FOCK by Mantua

For better or worse, I have completed the build of the Gorch Fock as the USCGC Eagle and she is now in her permanent berth on top of my living room wall unit. I couldn’t have built her with out this great build log!!!!

She looks great. I'm still working on the GORCH fock little by little when I have time.

I have the hull shapped and the first coat of paint on it. I re-planked the fore and aft decks because of the gaps I had .between the hull and the decks. It has taken me a month to get this far

Starting a new kit the gorch fock by mantua. Doing an unboxing of this kit, definitely seems of better quality than the lynx. Big sheet of photoetched parts. This will be the biggest ship I have done so far. 3 sheet of plans that are printed front and back. Already started to dry fit the bulkheads to the frame.
