H.M.S Enterprise / Enterprize. 1:96 (Modelship Dockyard)

Perfect. Success. !
That really was niggling me once you mentioned it. I think I can get away with it.
Imagine if it was the big 48 scale. Would be like trying to bend a joist.

This is just a brilliant build Neil. Even bending and inverted beam works out perfectly. Great fix. Cheers Grant

Quick update :
More work on the decks and the fittings.
Ships wheel, cabinet, pumps, stove and anchor winch. ( Don’t know the mariners terms and names.
I just build. !
Gave on the photo etch pieces for the stove as way too small, (will take a pic the next time alongside a rule just to show you how minute the pieces are) and I think by gluing them on would have made more of a mess.
I just painted some relief on the resin moulds. Looks ok for this scale.
Plus there is no reference on the PE parts on the sheet ( only on the plan sheets. ) Pointless then.
Starting on the Bow now.
This is getting very small scale and delicate now.
Tweezers are full time now. Lol !

Ditto. Everything is so “crisp” and symmetry is perfect. If I get near this I will have a partyExplosion. Cheers Grant
Thank you Grant. The hard bit begins now. The instructions are very poor. Looking through your scale build instructions, I see the same lack of information on the latter stages.
The details have been very vague to say the least.
Enjoying your build very much.

Update :
Fiddly bits on bow and stern. Instructions are very vague and the parts are scattered amongst the different plates. The majority are labelled wrong so you have to literally find them and hope they are the right pieces.
Getting harder now. Eeeek.
Photo etch pieces are so tiny.

Good morning Neil. Wow those are tiny. Lovely pictures of your Enterprise and looking marvellous. Are you going to add any paint to her or keep it natural. I ask because I am indecisive with this for my ship.
Cheers Grant

Getting more difficult as we go. A real “ play it by ear “ section.
One side done, now to try and match the other side.
A lot of cutting, shaping and bending and swearing. ;)

Good morning Neil. You are at the stage I fear the most of any build ROTF - those quarter windows and badges etc. So far you appear to have these under control :D. Cheers Grant

Grant,
Every time I look at your build I think I've gone through a time worm-hole ! The quality of your build is remarkable, the speed, unbelievable. Do you have an army of shipwrights working for you ? What month, year is this ? Whewww...
Congrats.
