I believe instead that the cant frames were the easiest part: these square frames are not all the same, the thickness changes, the thicknesses between the foot and the top timber of each frame change even ....

Your work is looking very good - I like the color difference of the chocks / anchor joints of the frames -> it is making your detail work more visible

I placed a few more frames. In this type of carpentry to be able to set up a frame it takes a lot of time!
To give the structure more solidity, I thought of using some steel nails placed transversely at the base of the frames:

Those of us that are less competent, might think of something more easily reversed than steel nails. Also any worries about staining/rust over the years? Your work is superb.

Steel nails give a lot of stiffness. I don't think they can cause problems because they are completely drowned in wood

If you heat the steel nail, and while orange submerges in the oil +bee's wax mixture, it will give you a black surface and protection from rust.
