HIGH HOPES, WILD MEN AND THE DEVIL’S JAW - Willem Barentsz Kolderstok 1:50

There you go Heinrich, that old world charm is beautifully displayed in your front canopy. I love it!
Thank you so much, my friend. Your words about "old world charm" are some of the nicest I have heard. That is exactly what I am trying to achieve - thank you for that!

Finally for the weekend, the second railing for the galleon has gone up on the Port Side. The white "harpuis" on the hull is acquiring a lovely, yellowish patina - exactly like it should. I am quite chuffed with that.

Good afternoon Heinrich. I’m just going to “ditto” all the previous comments re your canopy. All said for sure. Good to to see a “step back” photo with the galleon railing done. Cheers Grant

That looks incredible. nicely done. We were “Up in the north woods“ as the saying goes for the weekend. As far North in Maine as one can go and still be in the USA. Cell coverage was kind of spotty. So it was great to be home this morning and to catch up. Once again very nice work.

Thank you very much Jan! You and I come the longest way of all and as such your comments and opinions are always special to me. I am glad that you took some time out to relax and break away for the weekend. I spent Saturday and Sunday rowing, so the "not -so-youngster" is tired, stiff and sore today! ROTF

I can feel your pain, ours was an almost a 700 mile roundtrip, "the old bones" just do not stand up to that anymore. But it was a great trip, fabulous weather for November, full sun and over 70F/21C for the weekend.

Heinrich my friend, i believe i can't remember a week that you did not post anything of your Willem Barentsz,
What happend, do you have a building stop??
Or is it extremely difficult in the next step??
Dear Peter. Thank you for checking up on my well-being, my friend. I agree - it is very strange that I didn't post anything this week. No, there is no building stop, and the galleon is coming along nicely (touch wood). I just had no time for anything other than the school this week, and tomorrow I have parents' meeting the whole day so it's a six-day working week again.

Apart from that, there are a few niggling issues I have to contend with that haven't exactly left me in the best of moods.
