Hello dear friends The last few days I have continued to work on the keelson and last night I finished the preparations and installed it on the ship.

And now it's time to rest a bit :)
Shota,
I really do like your nails/bolts. They turned out rather nicely.
On my Bluenose I applied the toothpick-treatment, since I was aiming at a less imposing/forceful visual appearance. That worked almost too well; after applying several different finishes on a test-specimen the trennels are hardly visible. Only when you know where to look they're discernable.

Hello dear friends
Today I spent about three hours just installing the support parts for the three pairs of Thickstuff thin boards.
It was very frustrating in most places there is no room for fingers and even tools including dentist tools. The supports are attached with a round stick from Basswood 3 millimeters thick.

It is important to be precise in the location of the supports according to the numbering that accompanies the construction booklet.

Hello dear friends
Today I started working on the Limber strake, that represented by parts DL01 and DL02.
At the same time I started working on the the Mainmast step consisting of three parts gluing together (2 x BL35 and BL36), I glued them together, BL36 going inside surrounded by BL35.
you must carefully clean the edges with a good knife, in order to accept the Libmer strakes tight.
after that I drilled holes predrilled to accept the bolts, and used the same method of bolt imitation as I use to fastened keelson to the keel.
I am I have not yet completed the process with the Limber strake, I need to put the wood in hot steam to give it the required bending and shape.

I wish us all a continued enjoyable weekend

Good evening friends
in the last few days I worked on The next step: install Thickstuff over the first futtock heads. parts (DL30) in the kit and can be located on timber board #20, They are pre-scored for easy handling.
I soaked them in warm water for few minutes before handling.
After the wood panels had dried a bit I put them in cardboard supports of the second futtock heads for about a day. And the truth is that after that it was dressed relatively lightly on the frames. Before gluing, I drilled holes corresponding to the position of the frames. Into the holes I poured plain glue that was blackened with charcoal powder and after a few minutes I sanded until I got a shade that simulates pegs/nails.
I preferred this over using brass overseas.
I'm attaching some pictures to impressed from the process and the results

Hello dear friends
I'm happy to announce that today I have finished the work on the installation of
thickstuff and shelfclamps, and they are placed.
I also continued with thickstuff and shelfclamps in creating the effect of the wood pegs, based on the use of blackened wood glue in charcoal powder. In my opinion it creates a beautiful and authentic effect. I dedicated a couple of photos to the theme as part of the full package.

I wish us all a pleasant and enjoyable weekend
