Thank you very much Rebus.Incredible work, very beautiful. I always enjoy looking at your build.
Cheers
Rebus
....and Roger.Ditto…
Thanks Allan. I hope it is right to do so. I have taken the cue from some other builders whom I admire.Glad to see you back in the foldGreat job on having the quick work planking on the bulwarks covering the sills and frames at the ports.
Allan
Good morning Jeff. With this build I have had sooooo many redo's I don't think I could hurry.Don’t be in a hurry ! . That’s when issues arise.
Your work continues to be wonderful !
Thank you kindly Paul. It is a pleasure having Bronwyn as the Managing Director of our group. As long as I stay out of her way our partnership works like a dream. Even now while she is away she keeps warning me not to mess things up (she does use stronger language )......Looks good, Grant! There are days I wish I had a business partner...but then I remember I'm not partner material.
Thanks Daniel. It is really fun designing my own deck layout which will be mostly open. I do hope the end product turns out as I envision.Hey Grant, what Jeff said. You're getting into some of the fun top deck work, relax and enjoy.
Thank you kindly sir.great job Grant
congrats
Absolutely. Inboard the sills and also the edge of the linings (stops) end flush with the inboard side of the frames rather than being recessed, and all are covered with the quickwork. Outboard the three linings in each port are recessed and the edges exposed so they can do their job. I am pretty sure ports framing was never done like the photo below, inboard or outboard, on English ships of war in the 17th -19th centuries.I hope it is right to do so
Good morning H. So good to hear from you and glad to see you are alive and kicking in China. Thank you for your compliment. I must say I have had plenty of challenges with this one but definitely the most fun as well. Cheers GrantWow Grant, what a catch-up I had to make. Do you remember the old Ingram's Camphor Cream advert, "Hands, Knees, Elbows" and what-not. You are a living personification of that slogan to whgich we need to add ... and Enterprises. You are building a beauty my friend - one that will soon take her rightful place next to the majestic Victory and the gracious Xebec! Keep 'em coming!
Thank you kindly DeanLooking good Grant!
Thanks Paul- me too. Got some mates around for a breakfast and watch the game (playing away in NZ). Always a fun timeHope things go your way in the match, Grant!
Hi GrantGood morning Gentlemen. Big day for SA in 55 min time. We are playing our arch rival the All Blacks (New Zealand) rugby……going to be epic.
Anyway my Enterprise. Many many hours this week with what appears to be no result. Some more bulkwalk and deck planking and trimming and cleaning gunports. Still no where near finished but thought I need to let you guys know I’m still alive and playing on my ship.

I also partially built a cannon to check the fit- was all good in each port.

Good afternoon Gilbert. It was a typical test match very physical. We made to many unforced errors in their 22 so couldn’t make use of our opportunities. The AB defence was super good and of course they score on every chance they get. Was a good match. Cheers GrantHi Grant
Too bad for the game. I did not watch it but just saw the result
Beautiful progress on the Enterprise. Congrats
Thanks Allan. Unfortunately we lost by 7 points. Was a good test match. Us South Africans sulk a little when our boys loose so the whole country has a “dik bek” right nowMy nerves would be frayed beyond belief with such a game. I cannot eat anything when our team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, is playing as my stomach is knotted up so totally understand being anxious and nervous. Good luck!!!!
Allan
You does not always have to make big steps to see some nice progress, Paul. It’s looking with a personal touch.Good morning Gentlemen. Big day for SA in 55 min time. We are playing our arch rival the All Blacks (New Zealand) rugby……going to be epic.

Thank you Peter. It has taken a long time to lay a few planks and get the gun ports going. Plenty of knife blades as well. It is getting thereYou does not always have to make big steps to see some nice progress, Paul. It’s looking with a personal touch.

Thank you kindly Bryian. I have found this kit very challenging especially the measurements of the decks and the construction design of the transom and counters. Non the less I have enjoyed it so far and as always end up doing my own thing. Cheers GrantThat’s coming along very nicely Grant. Well done so far.
