Well said Jim I totally agree. I have SORT OF gone the route you laid out. I send the STL drawings I have collected to a 3D printer via email that I found on line a few years ago and he sends the pieces back in perfect replication compared to sources I used in the past, including the ones I made myself.
I TOTALLY agree that the blocks, square holes in the trucks, fat belaying pins, and other culprits need to be critiqued with notes to the manufacturers. But, it may be that folks are unaware or don't care about of these miscues by the manufacturer so there is no incentive for the manufacturers to improve their offerings.
