HMS Surprise by Mamoli

Lower mizzen ratlines finished without too much sweat. Next will be fabrication of the lower main so I can finish the standing rigging for the mizzen, then the lower fore mast....etc.

I also finally got my supply of deadeyes so I added the back stays (correct nomenclature??) For the bowsprit.

TO ME IT LOOKS GOOD. Only to clear up, there is no Backstay on the Bowsprit. Backstays are only from the Main mast. I have about 1000 images about standing and running riggen in uK and ES.

Added the martingale stays.

Continuing work on the main mast. I'm using hardwood dowels for Surprise and I'll never use kit provided dowels again for lower masts. The deep rich color after staining and clear-coating is so much better.

your work on the Mainmast lower shrouds and ratlines looks impressive :) אגודלים למעלה

Mainmast lower shrouds and ratlines installed. Despite the mainmast being the tallest mast with the most shrouds I got er done in 1 1/2 days of work. I just shut my brain off.

Is a nice build generally. I do not like myself the way you have faster the shroud to the mast. first one on each side, then the rest in pairs. each not around the mast will take a step backword. not to criticise but to have in mind for next time- I know that I am to old -both in age 80 and of building 50 years.
