HMS Victory, 1:64 scale by Steve Anderson, aka, Jasta11ace.

Congratulations on your birthday, Steve.

For some or other reason (I am not even sure myself why), I am not overly fond of British ships and the problem facing any prospective HMS Victory builder is that there have been so many incarnations of her that it is really difficult to differentiate between the builds.

That was until your build.

What I have seen here is simply the best-built model ship that I have ever seen in my life. 'Nuff said!

Kind regards-Heinrich
Thank you Heinrich.

Thank you for you kind words, Heinrich.

After more than two years of periodic work on my H.M.S. Victory scratch built model, I set up a photo shoot Friday morning in my studio.

In 2019 I finished the upper stern gallery, the interior paneling of the Admirals quarters, windows, and checkered flooring.

Since last Thanksgiving I completed the stern carvings along with installation. The middle deck gunport doors and hinges were fabricated and installed after that. The middle deck is now complete with its compliment of twenty-eight 24 pounder cannons. The lower deck house thirty 32 pounder cannons. Now it's time to start the fabrication assembly of the upper deck and quarter deck 12 pounders. After almost 30 years of off and on work, I'm finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. V1.jpgV2.jpgV3.jpgV4.jpgV5.jpgV6.jpgV7.jpgV8.jpgV9.jpgV10.jpgV11.jpgV12.jpgV13.jpgV14.jpg

Dear Mr. Anderson, Hi Steve,
Unknowingly, I was already an admirer of your box art with Wingnut Wings: I spent thousands of euro's last ten, fifteen years on those magnificent kits and dito box art!
Much to my surprise to find out that this beautiful POF build of this much more attractive early 'version' of HMS Victory is of your golden hands as well.
My compliments and admiration!
I hope you do will post some more beaufiful updates, as if it were only for inspiration for some of us with artisticly poor minds, myself included ofcourse, here!
Thanks,
Frank.
