HMS Victory, Mamoli 1:90 scale by Spider999

another couple of hrs at work again today, managed to fit the hinges to my rudder, bit rough and ready but the "bolt heads are actually dressmaking pins cut to length so they dont quite go all the way through. should keep them in place.

Pain in the posterior, wasn't it? I'm just a little ahead of you. It's is so nice to be able to work on the decking furniture. Now, finally starting to see some progress.

I cut a new rudder from the leftover bulk head material as it is the same thickness and recessed the hinges into the new rudder. Cutting a new rudder also eliminated those big gaps below. plus it got it closer to the stern

I'm looking forward to doing the rigging.. I have just ordered all my miniature ropes and blocks from Syrenshipmodelcompany, they look to be real good quality, and the price wasn't too much

Started the build back in 2005 when my son was born, put about 90 hrs in then we had a secondchild 2009 so the boat went on hold. We moved house in 2013 and I moved my big shed with us and set it up as a proper Man cave (boatshed!!) said "right. I can start the boat again" to which the admiral said "not till you have done.... Attic, kids bedrooms, bathroom/toilet into 1 room, big BIG kitchen/diner extension on back of house.." Finally, about a year and a half ago I got them all finished, so off to the shed I went. Admiral said "what about the stairs hall and landing , and our bedroom"?? Not on your list, so they aint comin in!!! after 6 months and another 60 hrs work I put her back in dry dock and told the boss (Admiral) I would finish the 2 outstanding jobs. Just about finished the hall/stairs but the master bedroom can wait.. Here are a selection of pics showing my build so far. Apologies fir going back to day 1, but that is what a log is for isn't it.View attachment 131816View attachment 131817View attachment 131818View attachment 131819View attachment 131820View attachment 131821View attachment 131822View attachment 131823View attachment 131824View attachment 131825View attachment 131826View attachment 131827View attachment 131828View attachment 131829View attachment 131830View attachment 131831View attachment 131832View attachment 131833View attachment 131834View attachment 131835View attachment 131836View attachment 131837View attachment 131838View attachment 131839View attachment 131840
