Nice images! And I've never seen these barrel rafts before. Another interesting little detail! About time spent building this model ... I'm sure if H&W had done it all by hand (and styrene ) they'd also still be busy.

Hi folks.
I have been working to add some detail to the port side engine casing and securing the depth charges on their wooden plinths, apart from that I have been making some little brass turnbuckles. You can buy these but the bought ones look too large. I recon that I will need around twenty of them, enough to keep me busy. The wooden raft seems to have been secured by a pair of wide belts according to the photograph of Picotee so I have been experimenting with width and colour trying to find something that will blend in rather than stand out too much. Next I will work my way round to starboard. There is still a lot to add to the engine room deck along the way, including two water tanks, but so far I cannot find out their size; the 'Lambert' plans are as useful as a chocolate teapot!
