If you don't mind, on earlier photos the deck and the hull looks lighter color. Did you use any varnish or oil to finish? Perhaps it might be a game of lights and shadow...

I think both - 1/ the different light 2/the model was oiled, several years passed and it got darkerGreat looking model!
Yes, trying to be in time - there will be a Russian Championship 11-14th of April. BTW, my Halifax is on the way to Poland right now - it will participate in championship of Poland and then in Dortmund Hobby Expo )))
