Le Coureur 1776, model 1:48 by Adi

Thanks to all for your continued interest. The execution of the pumps was the next task. Here, too, I followed Uwe's solution. I first thought of Boudriot's variant. This was only more difficult than the CAF version due to the kit specifications.

Next, I corrected and adjusted the height of some of the mounting points for the oars.

Very good work - just some more things and you have a similar status like mine.
I am looking forward to see the two Coureur´s close to each other in 2 weeks in Augsburg

Many thanks for all the likes and comments.
The blunderbusses on the quarterdeck are the next challenge and also the last action before the eagerly awaited Augsburg meeting.
The first shock was the discovery that the brass etched part Sg01 is missing from the kit, which represent the trigger and firing mechanism.

Good advice was expensive (German proverb). After some thought, I remembered that in the spare parts box for my Historex, Napoleonic figures rifles with perhaps matching firing locks exist. That was the solution.

Since I didn't want the buzz to look like a shotgun, I added paper strips to breech area and the muzzle.

Here I have put up 2 specimens provisinally to see how they look like.

Thanks Uwe for the tip, but....there is....nothing. I may have also accidentally disposed of it properly.
Hello Adi, that wasn't there for me, like two other things, a short PM to Tom and he sent it to me free of charge. However, customs (TNT) wanted another 35€, so it was enough to lodge an objection.

Dear friends, I am back from vacation and enjoyed the meeting in Augsburg before. I was very happy to meet so many of you and to be welcomed by you so kindly. There were many beautiful models on display and among them 4 different Coureur's.

Now I have set up all 6 Blunderbusses. Subsequently, I dealt with for bolts and washers outboards for the gun tackling. Here also tend to the solution of Boudriot,
so similar to what Uwe has in mind.

beautiful work, I agree with the advantage of larger scale

Thanks for all the likes and comments.
Since I have decided to use the Boudriot solution for the gun rigging, the combined hook and ring design is now to be produced after the bolts and washers.
What can be done well in a larger scale, e.g. 1:30, brings problems in 1:48. The smaller the more difficult.

I should make a few attempts.

First with CAF delivered brass hook and brass tubes.

This combination did not prove to be stable enough.

After thinking about it for a while, I came up with the idea of alienating Syren Ship Model's black rigging hooks a bit.

That seems to be working.
