Le Soleil Royal ZHL Build Log [COMPLETED BUILD]

I've seen that build up you are talking about on others. Exploring other options for that, also. In reference to the broken piece, at least now it will fit. Sorry, bad joke. Bet that just made your day when that broke. If you can't fix it, there is a guy on here name Jay something or other. He's been duplicating the pieces out of resin. Resin being lighter in weight, plus give you more options than metal. Been thinking about doing that myself from the beginning, but didn't want to spend the money. It's relatively easy to do.

Yeah, haven’t heard much from @Jay lately.

I have to cut off some of the balcony deck to make it fit with the back side. I also had to make some knees using my Dremel and some plywood. I used a supplied knee for a pattern. They will be painted, so I’m not concerned how the plywood looks. Also, I’ll have to bend the balustrades to fit the deck and probably have to cut the ends off once the glue dries. Balconies are built. I’m not crazy about them. I think all the decorations will fit. I tried them once. I don’t want to tear it all out and start over. View attachment 269564
What I have noticed, is that we as builders tend to agonize over every small detail. This can become overwhelming if you let it. But I notice time and time again, that once all the detail goes on, all those little blemishes we sweated, get lost in the glitter, so to speak. I think once people have so much to look at, you tend to focus on what draws your attention. That will always be the decorations. That said…you are in good shape! ;)

I think what Dean said is valuable advice. You focus on what you are working on at the moment. Once you finish that part your focus shifts automatically shifts to the next section. If you come back after a while you tend to wonder why you fussed so much about that part of the build in the first place - as everything now seems to have "blended in".
