For me, the running rigging is like the frosting on a piece of cake. Something to be appreciated and savored.
Not to be savored and appreciated while you’re doing it though. My hands are getting stiff. I think I have rigger mortise.
Rigging is done! At last!
Next time I’ll darken the blocks first. I did that with the deadeyes.

it's not in my immediate future to work on that boat. I do have it, but I am currently working on the Bismarck.

Good morning Vic. Lovely accomplishment. Man the rigging between the Mizzen and Main mast on the Le Soleil is insane. Nice work! Cheers Grant
Most of the rigging on the foremast goes almost straight down because there are more points available. Much of the main rigging goes back and the mizzenmast rigging has to go forward. There’s also some extra rigging between the main and mizzen that is there for some unknown reason. But you’re right. It was insane. I thought I’d never get done.

Thanks, Gilbert! A rudder, gun port covers, and anchors. I’ll only fully hinge six gun port covers—only the ones you can easily see. Two of these are fully hinged. I still need to rope the other three.
On the rudder, I have to glue them on. The holes are too small for any of the nails or drill bits I have.
