Good afternoon Derek. Coming together really well. The nails on the channels. Are these for detail purposes or have you drilled through the entire channel for fitting to hull? Cheers Grant

Hey there grant. I did tried to do my chain plates like ship photographer has been doing hers. I put some nails on the back side after I cut the head off and then mounted to the ship and then once the deadeyes were in place I was able to put the front rail on with nailes inbetween

Got some really good work in today on the lynx. Finished assembling the bowspirte and got it in place and rigged up. Finally got to where I could mount her on her final resting place on the slip. Changed out the plywood on the anchors for solid wood, AMD got the anchors hung in place but still have to run the lifting hook for them so they not quite done.

Thank you sir. I lucked up and found a couple of them on sale on Ebay. They are the ones that mantua makes for their ships. I have one more that I'll be putting my gorch fock on once I get around to doing that one.

Granted even though I'll be painting the carriages I am going to make them out of solid wood. The size of them just dont go well with the ship. They seem way too tall. I'm going to shorten them a little bit.

Got the carriages finaly assembled and now painted. Now starting the rigging for them.

Thank you shota. I have been looking at a couple diagrams and this is the one I chose to go with. Bad thing is the instructions didnt have any rigging on them at all.

Well all 8 cannons are in place. I'll make the coils for them later on. Next I'll be starting on the masts.

I was really surprised it went as well as it did. Normally I would have said f*** this

Finally the part that I love most the rigging, well somewhat rigging. Got the foremast started, the lower section is set in place and started the shrouds. When it come time to put the back stays on I'll attach the top level of the foremast. Did something different on this one that I domt normally do, I seized the whole shroud line.
