Model Airways Fokker Eindecker [COMPLETED BUILD]

Thanks for the heads up Dean. The landing gear configuration on the Eindecker is quite different from the one on the camel. There is more triangulation to help with load distribution. I'm hoping it will be a bit sturdier over time. Nevertheless, l'll probably fabricate a custom stand of some sort to take the weight.

Forgive me fellow modelers for I have sinned. It's been 8 days since my last post...

Sooo, I've been busy, here what's new since the last update.

and for creature comfort, I decided to add some foot rest to the rudder bar. It looks hard enough as it is to pilot this thing, I figured I'd give the guy a bit of help.
(I even added a bit of mud on the foot rest)


5-wing mast



6- machine gun installation (you will like this one Dean)

the guns that came with the kit just didn't cut it

so I decided to go with a 3D printed gun I got from gaspatchmodels

the result is much better, a lot more details (black tread is for trigger)

and installed along with trigger cables and interruptor linkage

next step, the wings!! That should be fun...

It's been a while since my last update, but l'm still at it! I've got one wing done and I'm starting the second. The prop is done. Here's à sneak peek at the prop and the wing. More pics to come.

Ok, so the wings are finally finished!! They.re installed on the fusalage and all rigging completed. Engine installed with cowling frame and propeller. All that is left to do is the paint job on the wheels.

What a beautiful build!
One can clearly see tgat the parentage of the Eindecker lies with one of Fokker's first aircraft; the Spin (Spider), especially the wingmast.
