Those frames are well done. Is the panel above each one a spacing jig for their construction of somehow a part of the dory? Out here in Western Oregon we have dories modified for more rocker, McKenzkie River Boats for running the rapids along that river and make good fishing boats to boot. I'll follow your log. It's part of the building jig.. I'm very impressed with how Model Shipways designed this kit.. They made it so that you really have a good opportunity to have a really successful and nice looking result..Those frames are well done. An option to water which expands the wood fibers, is denatured alcohol. It is absorbed much more quickly than water and provides easy heat bending and setting without the water expansion.
