Montañés by Sevish - OcCre kit

It will be magnificent this way.
Is there any decision on the color scheme ?
I've seen a few "old style" conversions, but I prefer to spend this time on a monograph and a different model from scratch. Model will be heavily modified. I leave neutral wood from kit to painting, but replace all plywood elements with solid wood, which will also be painted. Painting will be at Trafalgar 1805. I'm saving wood for monographs from ANCRE ;)

I have received my order of cannons.
very beautiful made, High quality.
These look nicely made but do not look anything like any kind of cannon ever used in the Spanish navy. The below shows the typical Spanish pattern that would likely have been on Montanes 1794 compared to the pieces you show in the photo. It is not difficult to get 3D printed guns made at very good prices compared to turned brass, or even have one made to use to make a mold then cast the barrels in metal or casting resin. If you are interested I would be happy to PM you the drawings in a better resolution than below that you might find useful.

You write right, but it is a cheap model from Occre. Any correct resin or brass cannons will be worth more than this kit set. Does it make sense ? I don't think so.

This is not true in my own experience. I paid about US$0.75 per cannon for 1:64 cast black resin cannon barrels, including freight. In my experience this is very inexpensive compared to turned brass cannon. You can also make or buy one barrel that is close then modify by hand and then cast your own for even less money.
Couple photos follow of making Blomefield pattern cannon with silicone mold and casting resin.

For 1974 cannon setup you are probably correct.
But my orderded cannons are for the Trafalgar setup, and from what I have read the guns has been replaced with this look like cast.

the original guns that came with the kit are the same that came with the Santisima and the design are for the 16th century guns

Good work. Only prices in Europe are completely different than in the USA, it is profitable for you, you are right. I don't know what it's like in Israel, it would be best if @sevish spoke up. Any import outside the EU involves hevy fees. In addition to what you write, 4 cannons in USA is 1 for me in EU. A set of resin guns for the Santa Ana model in a 1/1copy in 1/84 scale is for about 300 euros... there is no point in investing so much in such cheap sets.
Here is a price comparison to the monograph from Ancre that I bought for La Belle Poule, I also had to spend 150 euros...

Hi Kuba
I do not doubt what you are saying about prices, but to cost 3,5 times more than in the US is terrible. I am assuming are referring to the 112 gun Santa Ana where you would have paid E300 for all 112 cannon.
But my ordered cannons are for the Trafalgar setup, and from what I have read the guns has been replaced with this look like cast.
Hi Sevish
I would like to get this information source, especially if based on contemporary information, to add to the collection of cannon drawings I now on hand for the future. Thank you very much in advance.

In Israel every thing is more expensive.
The difference between Euro and US Dollar trading currency are almost equal, and as non EU and US Resident the VAT is reduced, so produces are more cheaper.
the problem is the shipping.
When stores prefer to ship packages in EMS those kind of shipping we have pay lots of taxes while with regular shipping
under certain amount of package value there are no taxes.

Oglądając twoją pracę nad poszyciem zastanawiałem się czy będziesz kładł drugą deskę czy blaszki miedziane . Kupiłeś wiele fajnych dodatków i zbudujesz piękny model. Pozdrawiam Mirek
