Correct, bad design!Yes, You're right of course, but it seems like the manufacturer of these clamps assumes that the frames always has a straight line

This is a known flaw for these little things based on reviews. Reportedly they used to be better made (like most everything nowadaysI'm sorry to say, my idea with the wooden clamps together with the handle-screws didn't work out that well. Seems like the woodscrew insert tends to be pulled out from the aluminum handle. The wood might be too soft even though it's pear wood. As of now I can put it back and lock it with hammering against an anvil, but I will try to find some tiny washers to give more support to the shoulder of the insert. To be honest I'm a bit disappointed, thought they would be better, looking at the price

Thank's Paul, I'll try that next time an insert is on the run ....This is a known flaw for these little things based on reviews. Reportedly they used to be better made (like most everything nowadays). I saw a solution where someone epoxied the screw back into the handle...

Seems like I found a solution, a crimping plier for cable shoes seems to be the medicine. Bought some epoxy glue just in case thoughI'm sorry to say, my idea with the wooden clamps together with the handle-screws didn't work out that well.
