Quick update...I am working on the carving with the ships name...NORSKE LOVE...shown below

I have a few different approaches in mind, but life and other hobbies are getting in the way of progress. I hope to have something to show soon. I have also been doing a few corrections to the upper carving around the perimeter. I like symmetry, and noticed a few things that bothered me. So I am silently chipping away at tasks on the stern. There was so much to do it was overwhelming, but I am close to finishing it, so I can move on.

Your excellent tutorial log has opened the curtains for us up in the peanut gallery. . . I'm up in the nosebleed row trying to peek over the shoulders of the masses of SoS crew already arrived ahead of me. preplanned fortifications in hand but those may necessitate periodic baldder breaks. Rich

Plenty of room in the gallery, Rich — and for a build this size I think we may need to add a few extra rows anyway! Dean’s already off to a very clear start, and the alignment details on the keel and first frame are exactly the kind of things that help others avoid headaches later.

Just make sure those “fortifications” don’t run out too early… this looks like it’s going to be a long and very enjoyable voyage.
