OSEBERG ship - Ships of Pavel Nikitin (Ukraine) - Scale 1:25 (15/32" = 1') - Length: 865 mm ( 34 3/34 inch)

I appreciate your post with Imbir, Olha, as I also have a supervisory cat. Here she is helping me read the newspaper. She is 17 now, and currently at the hospital with a very serious illness. I hope to bring her home today. I have enjoyed watching many of your videos, especially the ones on the Capt. Smith shallop. Mine is nearing completion and I am working on the case, also using your techniques.4DA772B1-769D-4B6F-A1F6-D546EB4E3694_1_105_c.jpeg

I wish your supervisor a speedy recovery. My supervisors are very skilled mousers… haven’t seen one in all of the six years that they’ve lived with us.

Thanks for the video. Very intersting.
Do you know if the kit sold now has had the oar ports revised to point in the right direction?

Thanks,
Peter

On the prototype, they look in different directions)))
But I know that an absolutely new version of this kit is being prepared! Where theoretically all these errors should be taken into account!!!

I used PayPal and Pavil notified me when he received the funds. My order was sent then and I received it 30 days later. The box was received in great condition and I felt the delivery was timely. He is a pleasure to deal with.
Ditto. I received the Viking Oseberg kit recently. I am totally new to wooden model ship building and hope to be guided through the process here.

The problem with this method - yes it is the easist way of immitating treenails - is the fact, that often around the nail will stay some small shaddow of this paste - I guess paste soaked into the wood grain

removing of the surplus material only possible with sanding or with a fibreglass erasier

We can see these small shaddows also on your model - if you know it you recognize it

I want only to make this comment, that everybody is aware about it

It's oil! When you cover the entire hull with oil, all these shadows will disappear!
