Rattlesnake 1/48 - Harold M Hahn

Thanks, I've made a lot of mistakes here, time and time again, but I've torn off and installed new parts where I've made the worst mistakes,
Now I just have to get my DH40 fixed so I can make the planks I'm missing.
After the operation I just had in the hospital, work will take a very long time since my body only works in very small steps.
Little by little, break ASO-

Bolts and wood nails?
My Rattlesnake is 1-48, I want to use brass bolts on the Hwales.
What diameter (mm) should I use on the Hwales, round or square.
What diameter (mm) above and below the Hwales, (wood nails)?
My drawings show nothing of this topic.

A final insertion of a new plank in Hwales.
Used black ink on the edges, now there is only one final touch up after planks above and below Hwales.

What dimensions should the bolts in Hwales be, etc.
This question about dimensions of bolts and nails on different model scales 1-48, 1-36 aso.
Is there anyone who can answer this

Have to say, what a great adventure this builders log is!

At first, I wasn't quite sure what I was looking at, all the wood stock in milk crates, bizarre arrangements of little wooden trapezoids! It was all Greek to me!

By pages 11 and 12 of your log, I could see the vision you've been working towards. I envy your skills and have thoroughly enjoyed it so far.

Thank you!
Chris

I have just read through your build log to date. I am so impressed with your skill and attention to detail. Your clear pics and descriptions are very instructive and inspiring. It is a longterm dream of mine to one day scratch build a model HMS Beagle. I dont know if it will ever be realised. Hence my current build of the Occre Beagle kit, my first foray into model ship building. Your venture gives an idea of what is involved. I will follow with great interest :)
