Revell B17-G Modified to a B17-H 1:48

Really looks amazing! The Higgins boat looks fantastic. I think your next choice will be if you want it to look pristine or to weather it. If you do decide to weather it my advice is that more is less, go lightly.

Thanks Rob, I want to keep the air frame pristine as possible, the boat looks like a fresh paint job on a hull that's had the hell beat out of it.:p Not sure what I will do with it.

Good evening to all. Well after placing the finishing touches my B 17 H, it is ready for the final presentation. I enjoyed the learning experience with my air brush and using modern liquid adhesives and tools in its fabrication. I believe my dad would have felt much joy in its appearance and no doubt would have brought back many memories for him. I purposely omitted the machine guns from the waist gunner and nose laterals positions, plus the rear cabins top position, in my mind's eye they would only serve as a distraction. Check it out!

There will be more plastic in my future as my skills in hiding joint lines and painting need much improvement, plus I find it enjoyable. For now, though I will be heading back to my old friends, the wooden sailing ships. I have my eye on ZHL's 1:48 POF Zebec. I haven't purchased it yet but getting close.

I sure thank everyone who came along on this build with me, half the fun of modeling is sharing it with you all.
Till next time.... Happy Modeling!
