Rowing Boat Clyde Model Dockyard 1:6 scale clinker / lapstrake by Kimosubby [Kim Holland]

Looks good , I want to do same , assume fore and aft. Did you make the pulley or can you source? Do you know were you can source pulleys for main sheet etc and trying to work out what is scale size

Looks beautiful, well done. Just one piece of information I would really appreciate is that you have a metal ring round the mast where the yard crosses. Is the forward end of the yard attached to this ring to stop it moving forward too far or does it have another purpose, to hold it against the mask? Will be very interested now as I have been searching Photos on the Internet trying to find out exactly what controls the forward end of the yard.

This is a photo of the boat in the museum. I’ve not attached my mast ring as far forward as shown in the photo. It’s a 12mm mast ring and 6mm mast ring both from Cornwall model boats. Hope this helps.

I have seen the same ring setup on small one person sail boats. It allows the top yard not to swing forward, and also move up and down the mast as needed.
