Saint Albans 1687 in Navy Board Style - 1 : 48 scale [COMPLETED BUILD]
More carvings. I was immediately satisfied with the putti. The two profiles, on the other hand, were unexpectedly difficult and I then did them again (bottom row). In the end I didn't like them either and I revised the first variant a bit.

Architectural elements carved in boxwood and painted with a slightly lighter gold color. This way, the motifs are set off a little better.
I carved the three connecting roses in pear. It's quick, but looks a bit rough. I'll do that again. The carvings are fastened only provisional and have not yet been properly aligned.

I´m thinking on the model your carvings are looking more great as on the photographs, because the size is not so big.
The stern is well done and you can be proud of your work.

Nice work and thanks for sharing the detailed pictures...you are motivating me as I work on my bow and stern carvings!!

I continue with the large Stuart coat of arms:
Carved from boxwood.
Preliminary drawing
Then primed and the little lions, lilies and the Irish harp built up with megilped oil paint with 3 layers of paint (ocher, medium cadmium yellow and finally light cadmium yellow).
After drying, everything was airbrushed with gold paint.
The taffrail:
The taffrail is curved in 2 levels. It's inside this pear block:
After the top and front parts have been removed with the saw and rasps, the block is glued to a board and then the profiles are scored with the help of a mini-marking gauge (Crown Tool). These are then worked out more precisely with carving tools and needle files. Then the taffrail is brought to the right size.
The gold paint finish showed catastrophic dents.
Only after several revision, it was finally ok.

Very good work my friend - Really good 
Fantastic work, absolutely convincing, I like it very much.
The 4 prominent figures of the transom are also finished now.
Two putti support or held the shield.
Two angels with a total of 4 ancient fanfares. What they represent is a mystery. Maybe the 4 winds or as a herald of victory over godless enemies? Who knows ....
I also re-carved the 3 roses.
The material was boxwood again.

Fantastic work Alexander, your reliefs are very detailed and show great depth. Just stunning.
The plans don't show all aspects of the quarter galleries. Fortunately, I have a lot of photos of the original model which helped me.
I constructed the quarter galleries from top to bottom on the model. So it was easy to transfer the angles with the Starrett tool.
I used tape to mark the position of the vertical carvings. In this way I could check whether the overall impression matched the photos of the original model.
The lower part is only pinned on so that I can still correct it
