Hello, i couldn't wait til my birthday and my family gave me the "permission" to start with my birthday present. The San Felipe from ZHL is a very nice model kit with colored and detailed instructions. The ship size is: 1200mm x 930mm x 475mm.
Yesterday i started building and so far there are no problems:

Many thanks for starting the building log of this interesting kit - I will follow with big interest
Also interesting would be to see once the complete content of the kit - to get informed, what is delivered and included and which quality?
Maybe here in your log or in this area:

When ever you have time

But most important - Enjoy your time with this kit (and many thanks to your family.... Thumbs-Up)

Be careful to mount decks that hold beams to the gun at the right height. How do you do it according to the instructions, it turns out that you have no place to put the gun on the right place because you'll have those beams too low. I think you've already committed this error. Take the attached template and try it on. With this set you have to think all the time because it was not released with errors. . I bought this set shortly after they released it. They duplicated Panart's mistakes based on which they made it on a larger scale.

You have to pin your template and not look at other build relation. On the templates, take a look at the distance and check if something is not done. Both false decks must be higher than the place in skeleton. There must also be an equal distance between both. It's good to see the distance from the handrails between the balconies because the original decorations do not go as they should.
Problem describe in Donie relations :

Donie solved this problem with cannon level in different way :)

Hi JScolum, thanks for your advice. I replaced the beams with bigger one.

Hello, today a little upgrade: i did some more first layer planking and painted the canons black.
Then i started cleaning the ornaments from surplus plastic. For 25 pieces i needed 2 hours and stil 150 to go! Look at the pictures:
