San Francisco cross section Artesania latina

Love the results, Naram!! The cannon barrels look realistic, without compromise Thumbsup As for saving the blackening solution, you may reconsider saving it. When the blackening process occurred, the chemical reaction between the brass and solution happened, so the second time it may not going to work. You may try to dilute this solution with water (experiment) before use. I use a different solution called 'Brass black' and always dilute it with water 1:1 proportion
thanks for the tips!

I think the 'Quoin' is missing on the build. I consider making them in order to have the canon properly levelled.
I am going to try to make them out of left over woods during this week- end.

Step 4 : assembling (cannon carriage & weels)
First cannon then weels.
The brass wire provided to assemble weels is too large, I replaced it by paper clip.

You correct on the diameter of the brass wire for the axles. I drilled out the hole in wheels slightly to make fit. I had to press the wheels on with a vise after drilling so I had a very tight fit that did not need any glue. The paper clip idea was brilliant.

Hello everyone, after a long absence (I wanted to build a SPAD XIII 1/48 for a friend) I am back

Sometimes working on smaller components and items is a good relaxation and step back from the ship model itself which may allow new thoughts as to how to better proceed in the best sequence. In my brain though it sometimes makes me forget something that later comes back to bite me! Your work looks very nice. Rich (PT-2)

hello everyone after 2 move few tension in country I am back.
with locally available ressources, electric handrill (brought back from Cairo :)...), sand paper for metal (80 and 120 found in a local store) and boiled coffee (breakfast leftovers) I shaped mast and yards.
The color is a bit too dark but it will make a good contrast with the rest of the section. I will put a bit of transparent varnish though to fix coffee

So here we are :
