Hi Nigel,

First I admire your serious collection of racing bikes.
But back to the topic, why do you want to seal your tung oil with shellac, have you done it before?

Thankyou,the bike collection has evolved over many years.
The shellac will be over the whole model,I do not propose to apply oil over everything.I choose to use Tung oil on the lower hull as it makes for a durable finish and makes the sapele pop even more.
I have never applied Shellac over Tung oil but it can be done provided it is pure Tung oil and it is allowed to cure thoroughly first.
