"Santa Maria" 1492 a.d. Kit from "Ships by Pavel Nikitin"

Just finished starboard below water line. No issues with planking at all. Thank you Pavel for a such fantastic kit. I have my best planking experience so far. Whole family is amazed how cool this hull looks!!!

I heard you have plans for Golden Hind, this another Dream ship to build for me!

Thank you :) Congrats on getting through this stage, it's quite challenging, it's going to be interesting from here on out too :) About "Golden Hind" The beginning of construction according to my plans in about two months, but will not only this ship, and the entire squadron of Francis Drake, which is five ships...).

I didn't think it was possible not to understand what ropes to use in Oseberg rigging. But since it has become a question for you, I'll give you a hint. Page 63 all ropes are 1mm brown. Page 64-65 all ropes are 0.8 mm beige. Page 66-67 ropes 0.6 mm. beige and ropes 0.45 mm. beige. The 0.45 ropes are used to operate the polyspace blocks which lie in cell 9,12.

The shape of the flagship begins to emerge!
The forecastle frame is now installed — the bow section of the Santa Maria is taking on its characteristic form.
As on real 15th-century carracks, the forecastle served both as protection and as a working platform for sails and lookout duties.
