Shipyard HMS Rattlesnake 1776 Scale 1:72

The only thing I’ve heard about it is that it is “Out of Stock” both at Model Expo and at Shipyard, the manufacturer. Not sure how you can list a “New Product “ that is unavailable for purchase and has no availability date. Has it ever been “In Stock” anywhere? I doubt it . Why not just list it as “Future New Product” or wait to place it on your site until it is available?

But when Marc Mosko, my boss, saw this HMS Rattlesnake kit, he was so impressed that he thought would be nice to offer it to the American modelers.

Looks really good. I think they got the year wrong though. There were nine HMS Rattlesnakes, none of which were launched in 1776. I am guessing this is supposed to be the 1777 HMS Rattlesnake.

Which Rattlesnake, the American privateer (miniature frigate) captured by the British or the cutter HMS Rattlesnake, the topic of this thread?

I finally got my kit in after a week on backorder.

I was impressed with the blocks, which are three layer veneer ply that glue together to make blocks. Time will tell how they work and look. Maybe need a short trip in tumbler to round edges after they are assembled.
