SOLEIL ROYAL - HELLER 1/100 (side project)

Small update...
2nd deck is now fixed in place. Now rigging Cannons slightly differently as to lower deck, I would have liked to have used 2mm blocks but these were just too big and out of scale regards to the Eyepin positions I had to fix on deck rather than the Hull sides which wasn't possible due to it being thin Plastic, if this was a wood kit it wouldn't have been a problem.
I have also 3/4 painted the Bow bulkhead and have fully painted and weathered the Figurehead.

Interesting style, good execution and a great announcement of 3D technology and wood. I will also soon post details that I modeled and printed and how I integrate them into a wooden ship.

Thank you very much for your kind words my friend.

Stunning work Sir, Salute. It is work of this caliber that makes Ships of Scale the Flagship of the model ship builders World.
I have this same kit and I will use your knowledge to build mine. Wow!!! This really looks good. Thank you for your dedication and for sharing such talent.
I am humbled by your kind words my friend, I am by no means so expert, I just do what I do in a way that I feel executes the model to a standard I am happy with.
Everyone to their own, its all about the love of modelling and trying to finish off to a standard you are happy with, it's not a competition or a race but what each individual is happy with within their builds.
Have a great time building her to your standard and enjoy every minute.

Rob :)

All the Lower ratlines are now complete from the Spritsail, Foremast, Main and Mizzen mast, with 942 clove hitches being tied in the process.
Now moving on to rig the deadeyes/shrouds for Top masts of the Fore, Main & Mizzen.

Just rigging up the deadeyes for the Fore topmost Shrouds in my usual unorthodox way. The modelling wire on the lower deadeye will go through the hole on the crowsnest then I will bend it up into a loop, where I can then tie the Futtock Shrouds from, this is the same way I rigged the futtock Shrouds on my Occre Endeavour build.
The pic below is for information only as to what I mean, not taken from my Endeavour build.

Hello dear Rob,

my SOLEIL ROYAL is becoming a SAINT PHILIPPE 1693 by J. C. Lamineur rebuild:

...and is on hold recently until the JACINTHE's project is ready. Then there are a plenty of other projects of ships and boats that do wait - but she is in the glass show case:

and the resized (1/92) drawings as a pile:
