The development has no mystery, I do it with my proxxon milling machine, others with the bandsaw and some just simulated them. In all cases it is necessary to finish with minichisels. As for the meshed frames is a characteristic system of the Spanish galleons of the XVII. The Ordenaza of 1613 and that of 1618 is rigorous in that sense. This system gave the galleons a unique strength

Very Nice Ramon its following along with the way the dutch did their shipbuilding. This is the book on dutch galleons I have in digital format look at the hull steps how closely they match what you are doing

A second way they did it was plank the lower hull first then add the frames. the planks were keld up with braces. this to me would be a fery hard way to do it but it is how they got their hull shape started.
