Thanks again for your appreciation, and I have learned that building such a model you do not only just spend your leisure time but weeks, months and years of your lifetime, but the result and appreciation of fellow-modelers is worth the effort!

Yes, it is common paint from the handicraft shop, and I used it because I failed with "oak" stain which resulted in a very blotchy finish, so I tried acrylic paint diluted with just water....
 
I’m starting Confederacy soon. Like others I admire your color choice. Can you help me find the colors you used. It looks like a German paint. Any help on where to buy.

Thank you very much!
As said above, I looked for an alternative to "oak" stain as suggested in the instructions, and for application on wood acrylic paint was a good choice. I just mixed the shown colors 1:1, and I liked the result
I think it is not "German" paint, just have a look at your local handicraft shop or online.....
Any comments and questions welcome anytime....
