I was going use heavy duty aluminium I got at the grocery store to cook a turkey in, like a pan.

As if I had the time to finish anything, I think I will build a 'Before Attack' model with USS Vestal AR 4 beside the USS Arizona!

I would like the waterlines to line-up, so the 'Before Attack' might be foam instead of plexiglass, like the 'Memorial'

I interested in how you plan to build the Vestal basically what material. I will follow along with great interest

for the hull skin, i would use .040"(1mm) thick styrene sheets.

I have been working on the 'Before the Attack' diorama. Here are some photos...

I removed all the plastic on the on the bottom of the kit decks so I can use them as patterns.

I traced them on a sheet of styrene and cut them, however, I did not allow for the thickness of the deck material, so I will have to find some thinner styrene and try again
