USS Arizona Memorial model - Revell 1/426 USS Arizona, Shapeways Memorial - by SigEp Ziggy

the bow stem & the forward part of the upper deck is still there as you can see it in that aerial view of the wreck. just behind the forward part of the upper deck to behind #2 main turret, that part of the deck has collapsed as far down as the 2nd deck.

I needed to make bollards for the Arizona. I made a few from scratch and toyed with the idea of casting duplicates, but I decided to just make them assembly line style. Here is my first attempt at making a prototype.

Now I just got to get out the glue and start gluin'
Just out of curiosity, since I’m going to try to make bollards as well…what diameter tube/rod are you using?

according to Pennsylvania's plans, they are 21" in diameter so at 1/429 scale would be 1.24mm in diameter.

you are not the only 1 as i started the Pennsylvania which is the 1st of the 17 OBB ships at about 2008, i've got 13 ships started of the 17 but none finished & the Pen is now the mk2 version as to much work to correct the mk1 version.

@Davidp Dave, where do you usually purchase MK1 products? Is there a specific site you are using for all aftermarket purchases like PE or 3D prints, wood decks?

Jim, the mk1 is not a product but the 1st version of the Pennsylvania that started the whole process then over time i started the mk2 version that has more correct torpedo bulges & stern but the stern has to be reworked as in more sheet plastic strips glued to the concave stern to bulk it up before shaping it to the correct shape. & correcting the shape of the armor belt at the stern area. wooden decks i don't use as they are out of scale at 1/429 scale. got most of my 3d printed secondary guns from 3d model parts before covid hit that might have put it out of business which is to bad. got 2 3d printed kits of various parts plus a replacement kit due to 2 boat issues a couple of years ago off ebay that are on sale again. https://www.ebay.ca/itm/126544549489

Thanks, Dave, I see what you mean. The confusion comes from the fact that there is actually an after-market upscale/upgrades manufacturer, such as MK1 Design. very popular among plastic modellers. I am looking for an IJN rail set: The one on eBay, the shipping is crazy expensive.
