USS Constellation 1797 Build Log...

After completing the lower sections of the bowsprit, fore mast, main mast, and mizzen mast, would it be more appropriate to construct the gabya masts (top masts) or the rope rigging? I need advice from those who can offer their opinions on this matter.

This is entirely up to you. I attach the shrouds after fixing the lower masts in place. You won’t be able to install the topmasts without the fighting tops (crow's nests). But once you put the fighting tops in position, it becomes difficult to rig the lower mast shrouds. I’m currently at the rigging stage on my model as well. If you check my build log, you can see the order in which I completed the work.

@mtbediz1 Dear Master, I follow your construction log with interest and admiration. I agree with you, but I wanted to ask here to be sure. I also placed the fore mast and main mast first, but with one difference: I also fixed the watchtowers. I think I made a mistake here.

@mtbediz1 I will definitely take this into consideration; I already saw this detail in your build log. I'm continuing to work on the bowsprit, main mast, and fore mast lower sections, as well as the watchtowers. After this, I will build the mizzen mast lower section and watchtower, but I won't include the mizzen mast watchtower.
