You are a true inspiration for Scientific kit builders. I also enjoy taking a 1970's kit and transforming the original build concept into something beautiful.

Somehow, I've missed out on this whole log up to now. I've been browsing through it and plan to devote the time it takes to really take in this marvelous and inspiring build. Now I'm inspired to search out some of these old Scientific kits if I can find any intact. I love the small scale and with downsizing on the horizon, they look perfect for carrying on the ship model building in a much-reduced workshop. They lend themselves to super detailing and "bashing" with endless possibilities. Your work is first rate and very inspiring!

Peter, your workshop is perfect! Why do you need to downsize? Vic, My daughter will be staying at an RV park in Rockport during the winter months. We will drive down from Conroe and spend some beach time with her. Magic Mike

Very true. But I’ve never seen 6 feet of snow in Texas like I did in North and South Dakota when I lived there.

My workshop as it is currently perfect, but due to age and health reasons my wife and I will have to relocate in the foreseeable future to smaller more accessaible one floor quarters.

Peter, I understand completely as my wife and I also had to move to a one story home. I now have two areas for working on boats, one in my home office and the other out in the garage. Magic Mike

Most of the standing rigging is done. I placed it next to my first model to show the difference in size. I noticed that some of the lines are sagging a bit. When I finish the rigging, I’ll see if I need to replace some lines.

Looking good. It looks like there are some tight spaces to work on this version of the Constitution.
