USS Indianapolis CA-35 1/350 scale by Academy (Will @ Trilogy)

Thank for the kind comments Shane they really help me while I strive to improve my modeling skills. I'm now just finishing the IJN Mogami aircraft carrying cruiser by Tamiya. Only have to put decals on aircraft. Next will be the USS Gambier Bay a Casablanca class escort carrier that fought the historic battle off Samar with escorts destroyers against a major IJN fleet of cruisers and battleships including the Yamato.
Again many thanks

Will @ Trilogy , a very impressive model. I’m particularly impressed by how well you managed the PE. I’m relatively new (only the past few years) to the process of using CA glue. I’ve had my share of getting my fingers stuck on together and frantically looking for nail polish remover or Goo B Gone. I built the HMS Warspite and that was my first experience with PE. The catapult was an experience…so seeing your version was an education.

I may be a little late but have to gratulate You on that build! Some of those PE parts really are tiny and You did a great job on them!

I "rediscovered" the story about that ship and the crews' fate while reading about the whaler Essex and the struggles of her crew. Surviving in the open ocean is hard enough but having sharks around... unbelievable what those sailors endured.

Anyway, a very interesting model and full of details to discover. Well done!
