Progress on the Pennsylvania's bow. The figurehead and scroll work were carved months ago and were used in a display at a local museum. So, the most time consuming portion of this was already done. That is why this part seems to be going so quickly.
Where did you get your plans and blueprints for the U.S.S. Pennsylvania? I have been trying to find solid blueprints but have come up empty handed. Maybe I am just looking in the wrong places? Amazing ships and impressive work! I have yet to find anything on the frames or bulkheads, nor detailed drawings of deck layouts or masts.
https://www.americanhistory.si.edu/about/departments/work-and-industry/ship-plans This is where you can get plans for the Pennsylvania. Been a long time since I got mine so I do not remember if this includes plans of here stern and quarter galleries, her figure head, a cut away showing her interior arrangement, and a plan of her frame locations. Her mast and yard measurements are in the book in 2nd photo and the 1st photo is from that book.
Thank you Roger! I appreciate you taking time to comment. Happens so rarely these days. Not because folks do not want to, it's just that unless you have a question about something in the photos, there is no need to.
