I am very happy that you show us your actual project. And I am more happy to see another working place which is messy like mine

Welcome aboard!Hi everyone,
My name is Shay Cohen and I am from Israel.
I haven't been doing any ship modeling for 20 years now (I am 45) but finally getting back around to it. I started this La Belle model kit by CAF a few weeks ago and having lots of fun!
I am amazed of how evolved these kits have become... My dream project is La Renommee but I saw so many cool kits here already, that I can't make up my mind
Cheers!
Shay

Before I knew about the kit, I thought of scratch building it with Ancre plans. But... The kit looks awesomealso from my side a warm welcome here on board of our forum.
Very good, that you introduce yourself already with your actual project - the framing of your La Belle is looking very good - maybe you start a building log and show us your progress on the model .....
La Renommee - a very good looking and atractive frigate - will be your dream in scratch or the CAF kit ?
Tom from @CAFmodel posted some new information about his kit devlopment some days ago - it will be a great kit - (and also a big model with hull length of appr. 1 meter)

Looks great. Looking forward to seeing the entire process in a build log.Just a short update on my Le Rochefort build. Nearly finished. Ran out of rope and waiting for a resupply by Crafty Sailor. Also now building a slipway. Would like to have figures on board too, but the scale has to be right! The figure in the photo is presently been modified.
The ratlines are to be painted black View attachment 347226View attachment 347227View attachment 347228View attachment 347229

A very long time ago I joined the "Sean class practicum" and have all the plans, wood and a beginning of the keel. I am hoping I could get back to it some day as well.
