The last few months I’ve been working on the Kinneret 1st century boat, after the hull that was found in 1986 buried in mud under the Sea of Galilee.
I still have a few more things I want to add, and tie up some loose ends, before she leaves the shipyard for her new home.

You’re among friends here who truly appreciate the dedication and craftsmanship that goes into building models of this caliber. Never worry about comparisons; each build is a personal journey, and yours already shows great skill and care.

Here is my current project another foray into card ships its the GPM Uss lexington at a scale of 1/200 currently i have just finished the hull witch consisted of an inner layer of vertical planking and a outer layer of horizontal.
Well like most shipbuilders the Admiral has told me we've no more room for another, but she said yes to my suggestion of a picture.

Macedonian 1812, RC, 1:36 scale: 3D modeled and printed capstan, wheel, and full battery of carronades and 18 pounders. (click pic for larger)
Pride of Baltimore 1981, RC 1:20 scale: Completed the ballast bulb so she can sail mostly upright.
Constellation 1856, RC, 1:36 scale: In progress finishing the bulwarks and installing the pin-rails.
Naval Guns 1850's - 1870's: Printed two guns for my Guns of Constellation project in 1:36 scale, and about to print a set of Armstrong guns for a 1:100 HMS Warrior model for a fellow SoS member.

One of several models I’m working on now. It’s an odd one, though. Imai 1/200 United States Coast Guard Cutter Eagle. Model B-I54I-2800.
The odd thing is the scale. So far, no one can find any information about it. You can find the 1/350 scale one listed in Imani’s catalog, but not this one. It’s not listed in the Scale Mate database.
Instead of painting the porthole glass black, I drilled them out.

A "Launch that Never Was." I'm 'loosely' basing this build upon actual building practices of the mid 18th century, but 'not' on any actual vessel, nor boat that ever lived in the history books. This is just a fun and relaxing little build, without any research, for the simple sake of building something and making that 'something' look somewhat presentable. There will be no more exterior planking of the hull other than that you see in this photo. After filling in between the main frames, with sub-supportive ribs, I'll be moving on to the other interior details of this 'Fanciful' launch, however. I still have a bit of framing to go before I'm done with 'that'! In short. "What you see, on the exterior, is all you'll get on that part of this build!" Let's not have any historians jump in here and critique my work. Don't forget. This is a launch that 'NEVER WAS'! It's merely an 'Admiralty-Style' figment of my own curious and sometimes wayward imagination! (don't ask about my 18th century wooden, 'Steampunk' version of the Seaview Submarine of "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" Fame... that will be for a different post, later!)
