Thanks, I'm working with a pair. Just working through the learning curve
As you requested, even though I am not Zoly, the title has been changed. As the moderator, you should be able to change if required in the future.@zoly99sask Hi Zoly. Can you please change @Ted Robinson Ted's title to only "YQ Bluenose Ted R", please?

Thank you, that was a great idea. I don't have the equipment to mill out a board. I was thinking of adding 3/4" aluminum angle to the exterior of the jig.Nope, the warp doesn't go away. I solved the issue by attaching a 22mm thick board to the jig and even then you have to be careful not to remove the board too soon. I think other options have also been described, but you better look into some of the other build logs.

Essentially anything with enough stiffness to straighten the tool is fair game.Thank you, that was a great idea. I don't have the equipment to mill out a board. I was thinking of adding 3/4" aluminum angle to the exterior of the jig.View attachment 431012
Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I have a plan now. Will post results later today lEssentially anything with enough stiffness to straighten the tool is fair game.
BTW, I used a simple electric jigsaw to create the cutout, no fency machining equipment here either.
I clamped the exterior upright using 3/4 x1/2 x 1/16 aluminum angle. On one side I glued to the interior. On the other the exterior. Both sides are now completely flat. I don't think they will interfere in future build steps.Whatever you do, make sure the stiffening does not impair accessibility of the jig, nor the possibility to locate parts (frames, keels, etc.).
Now you have a nice flat solid base, Ted. Ready to start!I clamped the exterior upright using 3/4 x1/2 x 1/16 aluminum angle. On one side I glued to the interior. On the other the exterior. Yes, I'm happy as a pig in poo. Please take a look at the frame question I posted below. For now I'm stopping the frame build up and moving over to the keel. Now you have a nice flat solid base, Ted. Ready to start!
Regards, Peter
I kept the keel notch aligned in both directions.
