Bashed Mamoli Friesland

Here just some pictures of my Friesland originated from the mamoli kit. I started with her some 25 years ago but three houses diy rebuilds in between she now only lags masts and rigging. Thats for later. I modified her based on data from Winters book the dutch two decker and g.c. Diks Zeven...

Beautifull model and it is perfect for additional detailing.
If you want to upgrade your build have a look at the 7 provincien drawings of otte blom, freely available and he did fantastic work.

TEKENINGEN

Friesland is based on the hohenzollern model and from the same time frame as 7 provincien, so you can use the drawings as a guideline.

I made some further progress in installing the inner frame of the windows to the lower deck guns. Of course I need to do more polishing and precision. Thanks for the references and especially Maarten's reference. Attaching photos.
Teammates, I do not know if this is the right place, I would love to get your help. I try to get the next book in English with the sketches and accompanying plans, but some of the sites are very expensive or only in a language I do not know. I would love to buy from a friend or group member who is willing to sell or recommend a reliable website that sells at a fair price. This is the book: Le Fleuron 1729, Vaisseau De 64 Canons Du Constructor Blaise Olivier.
I would also love to recommend similar books that incorporate detailed plans of ships on which ships can be built from drawings and plans, and at medium difficulty. Many thanks in advance to you all

Today I focused on adding supports to the cannon windows frames of the lower deck. About three hours of work.

Might I recommend you make sure to paint the gun box enclosures before you start planking.

Most kits I have seen use black to darken the area to look like dark insides of ships, and hide the back wall of gun box.

Much easier and cleaner then done with planks attached.

I finished sliding and painting the cannon window frames in the lower deck

Unfortunately, I had to remove all of the windows frames, because with the start of the flanking I found that they were not installed in a straight and leveled line. Not bad, it's better to fix and accurate. I will re-create the window frames and it will take about two weeks. Hope we hear in a few days with better results.

As I said three days ago, I removed the artillery windows. Today I started the process of creating the new frames. I cut four new boards and glued them to a square sleeve, from which I would cut slices from which I would attach the window frames. In the new sleeve I have reduced the size by one and a half millimeters, but the frames themselves will be wider by 3.5 millimeters. I am attaching pictures to illustrate the construction process.
Hope to keep up with the progress in a few days

This is the method I used to build the gunports for my Ontario

I have found when trying to make square empty boxes as you designed, find a block of wood or stack wood the size you need and use as center block to keep ends aligned, I have used two or three spaced the length of new box to help in alignment to keep square better.
