The next pictures show how I made the hooks for the blocks of the gun tackles. The smallest hooks I found in the net were 4 mm long, so I thought about getting them smaller. By using a selfmade simple bending jig, the result were hooks just 3 mm long including an eye to knot them to the blocks after they were blackened.

Hello Uwe, thank you very much!
At the beginning of the build I painted the ship' s boats and the beakhead bulkhead with "oak" stain as suggested in the instruction manual. Later on I used also "oak" stain for the complete hull, but applied with a brush the coat was very blotchy. So I sanded the hull all over again and used acrylic paint for the further build.

Before uploading the next pictures a short story about a detail that I never thought I would add to the model......

Having registered in three modelling forums and scrolled many build logs up and down, I saw a model which was equipped with miniature furniture for the captain´s room(s), and my idea was why not make furniture in the captain´s cabin of my Confederacy model a fine add-on. Searching the internet for miniature furniture, I discovered the following furniture in baroque style for 3d-print:

Fortunately, a friend of my eldest son could make the table, the chairs and the desk in 1:60 scale - very near to 1:64 - and all I had to do was to paint the parts in as I think appropriate colors......here they are
