Pavel Nikitin Oseberg #3 kit #61

Finally had sometime in the shipyard. Mostly staining some of the various bits and decks.

I used MinWax "Special Walnut 224" for the decks and other bits. The hull had one coat of MinWax "Dark Walnut 2716" sanded and then covered with two coats of "Special Walnut 224". I plan to add a ckear coat this weekend.

I decided to go with a "Aged" look for the hull. I wanted the look of a working ship.

Next on the agenda is to complete the updated decks that go with the new mast step.

Good morning Jan. I have always wanted to give my models that aged/old look but I always chicken out. Way to go. Cheers Grant

That is looking very nice, Jan. The aging is very convincing.
